You make me rise when I fall
Your arms are my castle,
your heart is my sky.
They wipe away tears that I cry.
The good and the bad times,
we've been through them all.
You make me rise when I fall.

Searching...
Horses used to be my life, but when we one day adopted two kids at the age of three and seven I realized there was not much time for horseriding.... we sold the horse and bought a little shettis for the kids. Now our children have grown and don`t need me there 24/7. Now we`ve started searching for a new horse or big pony for me and my DD, and the rest of the family is very welcome to join us if they want to.
To find the horse of our dreams is not very easy. Sometimes it`s enough to phone the owner and ask some questions to understand that the advertisement is not telling the totally truth.
The horse on the photo is the first horse we visited, she was so beautiful and calm. When I tried riding her I noticed her nose was comming up (don`t know how to describe this in english), I managed to work her head down a bit. I was thinking I could maybe handle this problem and work it out, but when my DD was going up in the saddle she was kicked. I think the horse had pain in the back, and that may be the answer to why her nose was comming up. My DD was hurt. The mother of the girl who used to ride this horse was a bit shocked of the horse`s behavior. I really hope they solve this problem. I felt so sorry for my DD when we drove back home because she had pain, but she told us she was just happy we did not buy that horse.
Today we visited the second horse - but I quickly noticed it was not the right horse and I told the owner this did not feel right, and my husband agreed.

The time it takes is not important - we just want to find the right one.

Finally getting organized...?
That`s why I made a 3 steps plan:
- a daily routine
- a housework plan - where to focus on the different days
- a stable routine
If you want to see them, read the posts below:
daily routine
Step 1: Plan out my day:
06-08am: make my bed, breakfast alone and some computer time while I make plans for my day, breakfast with children, do little things like empty/start dishwasher, start a load of laundry, what`s for dinner?
08-10am: animal care: walk the dogs, clean the stable, grooming, clean cages, feed etc.
10-11am: lunchtime and have a shower
11-12am: one hour housework
12-01pm: work on a project I choose
01-04pm: prepare and make dinner, homework with children, clear kitchen after dinner
Around 04pm: train dogs/horses, spend time with family, work with a hobby or something else I enjoy
Around 06:30pm: supper, clear up after supper, prepare for tomorrow (lay out clothes, lay the table)
10:45pm: computer off.
I have to make some changes on my “errand day” (normally once a week) and in the weekends.
my housework plan
Step 2: My housework plan, where to focus on the different days:
I split this up to 6 sections, I can change the days for the different tasks if I want to. The bathroom and laundry room do not have any particular day because there I try to do a little every day.
1.Monday: Livingroom upstairs, DD`s bedroom , DS`s bedroom
2.Tuesday: Hall (including the stairs), living room,
3.Wednesday: Kitchen
4.Thursday : Errand day, water plants
5.Friday: Bedroom
6.Weekend: different work outside like gardening, wash the car, shovel snow, carry inside lots of fire wood, sweep stairs, (this is just excamples).
My Stable Routine
Step 3: (a part of) my animal care plan:
My stable routine:
This is how I usually do my stable routine, if I have some errands in the morning I can do most of the stable work in the evening. I try to have the horses outside as much as possible because it`s healthy for them. A horse needs at least three meals a day. I usually love to work in the stable.

Morning: Feed the ponies and the bunnies, grooming ponies, put on horse blankets if it`s cold and take them out, clean the stable and put on new sawdust, fill water, put their meal for the evening in their boxes. Every second day I clean the six cages for the bunnies, the other second day I clean the cage for my DD`s guinea pigs. Make sure the ponies have water outside, clear up after myself.
Lunch/dinnertime: Give the ponies their second meal, usually outside. Wait at least one hour after their meal before training.
Evening: Bring the ponies inside the stable, take off their blankets. Their meal is already served. Hang their blankets some place to dry.
